Restaurant Banco

We’ve been to this restaurant some six or seven times. Our experience has been inconsistent, depending much on the time of the day and the server. For the majority of these visits, the servers have been quite in-attentive. For one or two, we’ve had an excellent server. In terms of the food, we’ve found it really depends on what you order. The roasted chicken and the burgers seem to be very well prepared and presented. The pizza lacks taste and texture. During our last visit we had an omelette and the behind meat burger, which is a great addition to their menu!

Service was great, as for the food , selection was minimal and geared for seniors . Where to start, greasy chicken drummettes,( who serves drumsticks?) cold pizza, fish dishes , everything was over salted and quite frankly not good at all . For $29 pp certainly not worth it and will never go back nor recommend to anyone.

This is the place to be for many reasons. Sociable bartenders, good selection, and there is the cigar lounge next room over foe aficionados. Great selection overall, including Cubans. The cigars are well seasoned in the humidor. Sampled many, and they all burned well. Then sampled a few more - and the only thing left wash ashes.

I haven't been back to this restaurant for a while. Tonight I decided to drop by with my friend. The quality of the food is excellent and the service also great. Price is very reasonable. I will definitely come back.

The price is right, lots of selection, certain desert tray was empty and limited table service. On the upside great location, accept reservations.

Food was very good. Spicy Cherizo Poutine was delicious. Desserts were delicious.

Ordered the food from the menu, didn't take the buffet option. The food was delicious (especially pizza), the portions were the right size.

We use to love this restaurant but now the service is absolutely horrible (not even worth one star). We went for the evening buffet and regretted eating there. It is very unfortunate because the food is excellent, nicely prepared dishes, lots of seafood and great desserts. However, the restaurant is very noisy, has the feeling of a high school cafeteria, and again I can not emphasize how bad/slow/rude the service is. If you want to have your evening ruined by a disappointing and expensive meal, this is the place to go ($125 total for 2 adults, better spent anywhere else!)

The poutine are amazing!

Went to the 2 for 1 Italian buffet night. For $13+tax+tip each, it's not too bad. Selection is kind of limited and don't go there expecting amazing food.

Went with my family to celebrate my dad's birthday. I was not very hungry but my family was so I only ordered the shrimp tacos and a beer. As a lover of spicy food, the tacos were very appetizing! My mom had the veg pizza and it was also very delicious! The server - Marcel - was awesome. He was to the point and had a great sense of humor. They even gave my dad a birthday cake slice on the house. Would definitely go back!

I've eaten here three times as there is not a lot of options within walking distance. The prices are definitely fair, probably on the inexpensive side. The food is ok. I'd say several steps up from a cafeteria, but somewhere between 3 and 4 star food. The salmon was tasty. Nothing mind blowing. The poutine was good but probably not 20$ good. I didn't try the onion soup but my friend raved about that. Lastly, the salad buffet is good for a run or two. There are Asian style put-it-together-yourself soups which are fun. You can make a pho/ramen type of concoction. Of course, there's a standard salad bar. Just your basic salad items. Our server was really good and we enjoyed his chatter. He's been there nearly 20 Years so they have loyalty going for them. I'll probably be forced to eat there again as there isn't much choice unless you catch a cab out. 3 stars is about right.

Excellent casual dining. Nicely prepared food with friendly service.
